Can Ferrari follow up on 1-2 French finish at Silverstone?
If Ferrari still wants to win both championships, they better start winning races at the halfway point of the season.
Ferrari hasn't recaptured the dominance they had a few years ago since Fernando Alonso started winning two F1 world championships. After the Michael Schumacher era, the Ferrari team has unfortunately gotten worse.
McLaren - Mercedes is simply dominating the 2007 F1 season. Despite the Ferrari 1-2 finish at Magny-Cours, McLaren still has a commanding 25-point lead in the constructors' championships and the two McLaren drivers are BOTH ahead of the Ferrari duo in the drivers' championships.
The 1-2 finish Ferrari had at Magny-Cours is their first 1-2 finish of the 2007 F1 season. If it wasn't for Lewis Hamilton coming up with yet another consistent podium finish, Ferrari will be within 25 points of McLaren's lead.
''What matters is that two red Ferrari cars finished ahead of the rest. The team did an impeccable job and the F2007s were up to the job in hand,'' Ferrari team boss Jean Todt said.
''We fought a very strong opponent and this one-two is crucial for the rest of both Championships.''
The 2007 F1 season is currently at the halfway point with the next race to be held in McLaren country, Silverstone. Not to mention that it will be the home grand prix of their amazing young rookie and F1's new phenom, Lewis Hamilton.
If Ferrari's 1-2 finish in France was crucial, you can only imagine what will they call this one at Silverstone.
Who will win the 2007 F1 championship? Bodog has the odds.
Kimi Raikkonen 7/4
Fernando Alonso 7/4
Lewis Hamilton 9/2
Felipe Massa 5/2
